It is definitely hard to find any true authentic foreign cuisine here in Humboldt County. There is a great Thai place, a couple good Mexican places, sushi of course, but other than that it is pretty much super Americanized food! I really enjoyed your food post! and o my am I hungry now! I found it very interesting about how much British influence changed Indian food, but it makes sense. The influences of an invading culture or dominant one will always change the cultures that it encounters. And actually it works in reverse as well. Think Tex mex for instance...whole restaurants based off of the conversion of Mexican food. How cultures interact is very interesting, and it is especially apparent through food!
